Radial Thickener

• Variable (adjustable) torque for particular types of raw materials and customer tailored approach;
• Ability to conduct pilot testing for the selection and redesign for industrial thickeners;
• Installation of aeration units on the outer side of the bottom part; in case of positive test results, these can be offered as know-how for upgrading projects;
• Circulation system to prevent material deposition and excessive bed density during scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns

Principle of operation:
Low-concentrated suspension is supplied into the feed well, and under centrifugal and gravitational forces, the suspension solid phase is deposited forming compacted cake on the thickener bottom. Rotating rakes move the material to the thickener center to the discharge port, where it is pumped for subsequent processing. Flocculants and coagulants are used for thickening enhancement.
