Cyclone dust collector (CF)

Designation:
To clean the gas-air flows from ash and dust with temperature up to 450°C and concentration of solid particles up to 1000 g/m3. It is used as a preliminary purification stage before scrubbers, bag filters or ceramic filters.

Operating principles:
Dusty gas flow goes to separating chamber 8 via tangential inlet pipe 1. Due to movement along the curved trajectory, the solid particles are concentrated on the periphery of each channel 6 and are removed from them through gaps 7 to the channels preceding in the course of the flow. From the first and second channels 6, the dust together with part of the gas enters through an annular slot 4 into the conical hopper 3, where the large mass of particles is deposited and the lightest (fine) fractions keeping in suspension are returned through gaps 7 into active separation zone (channels) and separated again. As a result of internal (circulating) flows organization in the system of channels, a dynamic gas-dust layer is formed, which is a filter for new particles coming for gas purification.


Efficiency of gas purification: 

From solid particles with a median diameter of more than 5 microns and a density of more than 2000 kg/m3 depending on the number of channels in the centrifugal filter can be tentatively estimated from the table:
